Head, Inc. is a dedicated self-performing general contractor that specializes in the production and placement of both concrete and asphalt pavements on airfields.

What We Do

We own and operate a variety of asphalt and concrete plants and paving equipment, as well as earthwork and demolition equipment. Our firm and its predecessors have been performing work on public works contracts for almost one hundred years. Since 1992 we have worked exclusively on airfields for municipalities and the military.

The upper management, including the President of Head, Inc., is fully committed to the success of our projects. One of the biggest advantages of working with our firm is that we are a small business. Because of our size, all the upper management of our company is involved in some way with every project we do. The President and Vice President of Head, Inc. are available at any time, and they will be up to date on what is happening on the job.

Our Skilled Staff

Head, Inc.'s home office also employs several construction professionals with Civil Engineering and Construction Management degrees. Our skilled staff has experience with DOD and FAA contracts and are well-versed in federal administrative requirements. We also have in-house Professional Engineers that are registered in states across the country, providing the necessary technical support for pavement mix designs, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and all other technical requirements for a given airfield project.

Our group of construction professionals stand ready to respond to problems and concerns as they arise. We own and operate an Embraer 300 business jet that is hangared near our office at Port Columbus International Airport. We can be on any of our jobsites in a matter of hours if a situation dictates such a response.
